  •  Just to let everyone know we are heading down to Mexico tomorrow for ten days. We will still be putting pictures up on the blog mostly of Mexico, but some of Haiti. It is difficult because we will be on a laptop which doesn’t have pictures of Haiti on it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend,

  • Dear Friends in Christ,

Today ( Monday) Micah visited both of the schools that O.S.M. helps with their feeding programs. Micah and Lussade left the Vision Forum team and tap-tapped down to Petionville to visit Pastor Peti Noel’s school first. There were about 120 children there. After spending some time with the children, they left and went down to Pastor Marc’s school. By the time they got to the second school some of the children had left to go home, but Micah said about 20 children were still there. Three-fourths of the children have lost either a parent or a sibling. One child even lost both parents in the earthquake. Some of the school children are living in tents now because their family lost their home. Many are sharing a home with relatives, which is a blessing.

After finishing at the 2 schools Micah and Lussade rented a motorcycle tap-tap and visited a school that we used to help when we lived in Haiti. The school asked for our help to feed 120 children. Since we still don’t have full sponsorship for the 2 schools, we have had to decline. Please, pray with us that God would meet this need. For most, if not all of these families this one meal a day allows them to keep their families together. Many families who love their children have to give up their children to orphanages because they cannot provide food and care for basic needs. The Haitian people had a very difficult life before the earthquake, now things are worse. Also, the beginning of April will bring the rainy season to Haiti, which will be very hard on all the families living outside under tarps and tents. Living conditions are very sad.

We are very grateful for your continued interest and prayers for Haiti. Micah plans to visit the Petionville school again tomorrow (Tuesday) before he travels back to the states in the evening. Please keep the team, the school children, their families and teachers, Lussade, both pastors and their families in your prayers. If you would like to send a gift to Haiti, please designate your gitf and send it to:
